MRC primarily brokers used aluminum equipment, but also deals in steel,
copper/brass and lead. MRC is also a sales agent for new processing equipment.
The areas handled at MRC are continuous strip casting, extrusion log casting, slab casting,
melting furnaces, holding furnaces, oxy-fuel rotary tilt melters, slab scalping, ingot
casting shot-cone-shapes casting, wheel and band casting line, rod casting and the myriad of scrap preparation
equipment such as shredding, baling, trommel screening, air
knife separating, magnetic separation,
etc.
MRC was formed in 1971 Mr. Harry Phipps founded this company and has over 40 years experience in the aluminum industry. He
worked at Reynolds Metals, Alcoa Aluminum, Olin, Hunter Douglas and left the corporate world
while Executive Vice President of Barmet Aluminum (now Commonwealth Aluminum), to run
H.E. Phipps Co.
full time. In 1992 Harry and son Ron decided to form a partnership and the companies were restructured.
Ron was educated in Landscape Architecture, and formed the partnership after 5 years practicing
Architecture. Now 7 years into this business, Ron has traveled the world and sold equipment to
